My True Color

Take this test!
You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!
Well Linds, I guess we are just a like. I answered everything honestly as well. Try it out it is pretty fun to see what it says.

Home Makeover

For my mom's birthday my sister bought her some new paint and some cute wall stickers to put in her front room. So over the last several days my sister Mindy has been busy painting. One of her friends suggested painting a rectangle a little darker than the wall and then putting the writing in that. So she did. I must admit at first I was not real sure about the whole idea but now that I see the finished product it is really cute!

President Gordon B. Hinckley

June 23,1910 - January 27,2008

As a family we just wanted to pay tribute to a wonderful prophet!!! We are very sad to see him go and are so grateful for all the many wonderful things he has done for the church. What an amazing man!!! He cared and loved everybody no matter what religion, race, or background they came from. He has left big shoes to fill! He is very dear to our hearts and has helped us become closer to the church and helped our testimonies grow in so many different ways. We love you President Hinckley! Thanks for being such an incredible example not only to us as parents but to our kids as well!

Hoopin' it Up

Today Bailey had her first basketball game. It was so funny. Pretty much at their age they just let them play so they just run around and dribble maybe every 20 steps if you are lucky! She did awesome. She scored and was really good about passing it to her team. The funny thing is her and her cousin Texie are on the same team and so they just kept passing it to one another. It was really cute. Brinley really is feeling bad that she can't play but she is to young. So next year she will be there. When we go play as a family we just play on the 10' hoops. Well the ones in this league are only 7' so Bailey had to adjust a little bit. But she did great. It is just so fun to watch them. I tell you what just enjoy your kids while you have them because they grow up way to fast!!!

Party All Night

Wow! It has been a while since I have posted anything. Life has been pretty busy lately. This last weekend we had my neices Shakiah and Takesha stay over and boy did we have fun!!! Of course we had to play some rock band with them and they loved it. Then they decied they were going to be rock stars so the one picture is them carting Takesha around because she is the rock star. They are so funny. Of course this last week was a huge week for us Aggie fans. Stew and Jaycee both broke the school records this week. Stew broke the record for most wins in school history and Jaycee is now the all-time leading scorer. So we were a part of history!!!! We even got some T.V. time. Both nights had sell out crowds and those of you who have been in the spectrum for a basketball game know how amazing it is. It is so loud and so fun!!

Family Fun

Well we have had a lot of fun these last couple of days. We got another big snow storm so our neighbor Tanner pulled Bay and Brin behind his four wheeler in the snow. They has so much fun!! However their fun was promptly over after a cop drove by. We also bought the game Rock Band and have played it quite a bit together. It is pretty hard for the girls but they are getting the hang of it. We had family home evening tonight because I had to work last night so we took the girls to the Fun Park and then went to dinner at Costa Vita. It was really funny because one of Bailey's friends wanted to come and Bailey was telling her she couldn't because we were having Family Home Evening. Well her friend did not know what that was so Bailey described it to her like this," It is when our family just gets together and hangs out and talks about Jesus and stuff." It was really cute. It has been really fun to watch the girls learn and grow in the church. Although there testimonies are very small and they probably really don't know they have made Ryan and my testimonies grow so much! They are special little girls and we are so grateful for them in our lives!!!!!!

FUN IN THE SNOW

Well we finally got some snow on Christmas Eve so we as a family decided to build a snow turtle. It was a lot of fun but also a little difficult. The snow was not good packing snow so we did the best we could. The girls thought it was the greatest thing ever. We let them color it with food coloring. It was a lot of fun. It is amazing how much they appreciate the little things you do with them.
It was also Brinley's birthday today. She is six years old!!! It is so sad how quick they grow up. We had a lot of fun. We went to her class and Ryan and I talked to her class about her. She is so quiet at school it is weird. She definitely is not like that at home. Then we took her to lunch at her favorite place...The Olive Garden. Then the rest of the family came over for cake and ice cream later that night. Once again she got spoiled.

The Holidays

Well another year has come and gone for our family. For the most part I must say we have had a really good year. Ryan has completed another semester of school so the count down is officially started. ONE YEAR!!!! I can't believe it is actually around the corner. Bailey and Brinley are both in school now. Brinley started kindergarten and Bailey is in second grade. They are both doing really well and love school. I have just been working this past year. I am a C.N.A. at Logan Regional Hospital on the surgical floor. I really enjoy my job but I do work at night 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and believe it or not it does wear on you. I will definitely be relieved when I can start a day job. We all had a wonderful Christmas. We are very spoiled. We had a party on Christmas Eve at my mom's house which is always fun. We exchange gifts, have munchies, and just enjoy being around each other. I love this picture with my mom and dad with all the grandkids. Ryan's family was up here the week after Christmas which is always really excited for us. They try to avoid Cache Valley this time of year because they freeze to death while they are here. But we were grateful for the time we were able to spend with them. As most of you know we are HUGE Aggie fans so we all went to the game. It was a lot of fun and of course they won. I love this time of year and the spirit it brings. It makes me very grateful for the things we have in our lives especially our family. We hope you all enjoyed your holidays and know how much we miss all of you that we don't get to see as often.
